idoamebo – In a shocking turn of events, Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has petitioned the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fayode Adegoke Mustapha, over an alleged threat to her life by fellow Afrobeats star David Adeleke, better known as Davido.
What Sparked The Feud?
The feud between the two singers began after they stopped following each other on Instagram over the weekend.
Sparking rumours that Davido unfollowed Tiwa because of her close friendship with his estranged baby mama, Sophia Momodu, whom he is currently at loggerheads with.
The situation escalated when Tiwa Savage’s former husband Teebillz vowed to deal with Davido for “disrespecting his family.”

Tiwa Savage’s Letter To The Police
In a letter posted on social media, dated January 9, Tiwa Savage addressed the commissioner and alleged that Davido was angry with her because she shared videos of herself and Sophia on her Instagram story on December 23.
Tiwa Savage said Davido contacted her manager and accused her of mocking him, adding that the ‘Aye’ singer used “malicious and derogatory words to my person.”
The mother of one said she was informed that Davido was unhappy that she continued to have a relationship with Sophia despite their differences.
“The events of the day have also led to a barrage of calls and messages from our mutual connection asking me what I did to Mr David Adeleke that he is upset that I choose to maintain a relationship with Imaed’s mother who he’s having issues with and also painting the exchange to look like I was the aggressor. He also told our mutual connections to warn me to ‘be careful in Lagos because he is going to f*ck me up,” parts of the letter read.
Tiwa Savage added that Davido should be held accountable if anything happens to her and her family.
