Zuwa’s Father Confirms His Death
Zuwa’s father, Ehiozuwa Agbonayinma, a former Nigerian lawmaker, confirmed the sad news to Entertainment News on Channels Television.
He said that his son, who had a master’s degree in Architecture, was shot in the back of the head by unknown assailants.
He did not reveal any further details about the incident or the motive behind it.
Zuwa and Roze: A Promising Musical Career Cut Short
Zuwa and his brother Eghosa, who are based in Houston, Texas, started their musical journey as Roze in 2014.
They were inspired by their father, who was also a musician in his youth. They described their genre as Afro-fusion, blending elements of Afrobeat, R&B, pop, and hip-hop.
Roze gained popularity in Nigeria and beyond with their catchy song ‘Ileke’, which means ‘beads’ in Yoruba.
The song was praised for its upbeat tempo, catchy lyrics, and colorful video.
The duo also released other songs such as ‘Patience‘, ‘The Whole Night‘, and ‘All Night Long‘.
Zuwa and Roze were working on their debut album, which was expected to be released this year.
They had also performed at various events and shows, including the One Africa Music Fest in New York in 2019.
Zuwa’s death is a tragic reminder of the senseless violence that plagues our world. We hope that justice will be served and that his family and friends will find solace in his music and memories. Zuwa, you will be missed.
